What follows is a photograph album containing pictures of a Royal Naval Shore Establishment. Its time in commission dates from early WW2 years to approximately the late 1940's. Tall order we know, but have you any ideas as to where it was established geographically ?

It all looks rather nice and cosy and very unlike the purposely built austere buildings we are knew well as being the norm for Service life ashore.

Now for a bit of fun. To find out where it was, you will have to enter a PASSWORD, and if successfully entered, you will receive a spontaneous  reply on your screen giving you the answer.

The password required is the International Radio Callsign of the Georges  Leygues   Flagship for the French Units involved in the Suez War of 1956: out of interest, ours was HMS Tyne callsign GGYV, and Tyne carried the Flag of the overall C-in-C {a British General for Land Forces and a British Admiral for Naval Forces, the latter a true CTF} as she had done at the later stages of the Korean War 1950-1953.

Stumped?  Don't be.  Go on, have a go, its only four letters when all is said and done.

Still stumped?  OK, type in any four letters in Upper Casing and see what happens.
