On this page, we show some photographs of RN Naval W/T Stations.  As always, some are of interest whilst others can be considered boring [darn right so].  However, they are getting on for 75 years of age,  and that is quite ancient in terms of the history of Wireless Telegraphy.

Some of them are shown in PDF form and others are wrapped up inside formatted photograph albums.  In the PDF files, look for the yellow balloons.  You can either highlight them to read by pointing your mouse at them, or you can click on them and close them in the normal fashion before moving to the next page of the file.

Who knows ?  They may even bring back memories to some of our readers.

***** This file what the stations looked like.pdf tells of the Gibraltar and Horsea sites in 1908.  However, the story it tells starts with the main British Naval Radio Station of the day at Cleethorpes in Lincolnshire and moves into the Horsea story. Thus, without the Cleethorpes lead-in one wouldn't understand the Horsea bit.  -
