THE EMBRYONIC ELECTRICAL OFFICER

 

In 1947, the Electrical Branch was formed and in 1950 we were once again involved in a vicious war which lasted until 1953, the Korean War. Many thousands were killed or captured and this document gives a small insight into the post-operational period Korean War Exchange of Dead - Operation GLORY. During this period many young officers served and trained as  'managers' of Radar and W/T equipment in the Royal Navy. By the end of the war in 1953, a young officer, as a part of his training, was given a docket containing many and varied instructions and directives, and all of these have a relevance to our story. This is what he was given.
