In 1947, the Electrical Branch was formed and from that time through to the end of a war which killed many thousands of people [and yes, it is recorded for posterity that way - see Korean War Exchange of Dead - Operation GLORY - he trained to be a 'manager' of Radar and W/T equipment in the Royal Navy. By this time, 1953, a young officer, as a part of his training, was given a docket containing many and varied instructions and directives, and all of these have a relevance to our story. This is what he was given.
Remember the S1099, the S1091, the S549 and the dreaded S126 [if you lost anything and you had to pay for it] ? Well in these files you will find all of this plus lots of other things which our young officer needed to run, organise and control his Division/Department.
